Throughout the broadcast, there were more performances than awards given. Meek Mill, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg were among the many performers to grace the stage.

Snoop Dogg is one of the coolest cats ever to emerge in the hip-hop world, and the legendary rapper proved that fact with his lively performance at the 2018 BET Awards.

The rapper, who fittingly closed out the show, began his set with an early '90s classic -- "Who Am I? (What's My Name?)" The iconic single, which appears on Snoop's 1993 debut album Doggystyle, was the perfect opener, as the LP celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. He kept the crowd on their feet by delivering yet another all-time party favorite, 2000's "The Next Episode."

Meek Mill premieres new track and pays tribute to XXXTentacion & Jimmy Wopo.

The Philadelphia rapper, who was released from prison in April, debuted his new single “Stay Woke”. Meek delivered some gripping bars about gun violence and mass incarceration. “We scream Black Lives Matter, but we still towing ladders,” he rapped on a stage depicting a street corner.

All hail the Queen. Nicki Minaj took over the 2018 BET Awards with a medley of hits.

Dressed in a red robe, she emerged to perform her top 10 hit “Chun-Li” with some kung-fu dancers. She then removed the robe to reveal a sexy red latex number for the first performance of the Lil Wayne-assisted “Rich Sex.”

Looking dapper as usual in their bejeweled jackets and black skinny jeans, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff hit the stage to perform their Culture II hit “Walk It Talk It.” Following “Kung Fu Fighting,” they launched into the Pharrell-produced “Stir Fry.”
The Atlanta trio went on to win Best Group. During their acceptance speech, Offset thanked Cardi B, who is expecting their first child next month. “I thank my wife. You should thank yours,” he said.

J. Cole made a surprise appearance at Sunday’s BET Awards. Following an introduction from host Jamie Foxx, the rapper delivered a powerful performance of “Friends” with Daniel Caesar.

“I wrote this shit to talk about the word addiction,” raps Cole. “To my ni**a, I hope you listening / This is for the whole fucking Ville, I hope you’re listening.”

“Friends” is a cut off Cole’s latest album KOD, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
