JOJI'S BALLADS 1: NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD'S R&B/HIP HOP ALBUM CHART!
Osaka-born and 88Rising member JOJI is the first Asian-born artist ever to top Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop charts with his latest album 'Ballads' and begins at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200! Ballads 1 earned 57,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 1, according to Nielsen Music.
Regarding his chart placements, Joji had the following to say, “I was eating a thin slice of cheese when I received this news. I smiled and swallowed the cheese. A big thank you to the fans who constantly support. Take care of the environment.”
His popular single “Slow Dancing in the Dark" is included in the album which hit No. 8 on the Hot R&B Songs chart in September. Revisit the video below:
