The Bay Area rapper is eyeing to portray the life and times of the King of Rock, Elvis Presley.
The Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic has started pre-production work on the late rock ‘n roll star biopic. Five actors have reportedly auditioned for the role of Elvis including pop star Harry Styles, Miles Teller, Austin Butler, Aaron Taylor-Johnson of Avengers: Age of Ultron fame and star of the new West Side Story remake, Ansel Elgort. But G-Eazy eagerly jumped into the mix, too.
Sources close to the production say G-Eazy has had several meetings with Warner Bros. And even spent some time with Luhrmann in New York City in June, during which the rapper emphasizes how serious he is about playing the American icon on the big screen.
He even used Presley's "Don't Be Cruel" as an Instagram caption last month, which is maybe to tell everyone how eager he is in bagging the role.
