Travis Scott took to social media to tease a new compilation
album titled Jack Boys, a project that will reportedly highlight the talent
signed to the rapper’s Cactus Jack Records label as well as the rapper’s own
music. Jack Boys will serve as the first studio album on his personal label,
which he launched in 2017.
The album is set to be released this month, and includes
guest appearances from DJ Chase B, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, and more.
It also includes recent single ‘Highest In The Room’, Scott’s first solo material since releasing his acclaimed multiplatinum and Grammy-nominated 2018 album ‘Astroworld’. Since then, he’s featured on several artist’s songs, including Post Malone’s ‘Take What You Want’ (which also featured a scene-stealing turn by Ozzy Osbourne), Ed Sheeran’s ‘Antisocial’, and ‘Power is Power’ for an album of music inspired by Game Of Thrones.
The rapper first mentioned Jack Boys in a Zane Lowe interview in
October. “I’m at the point where I’m just trying to cook up some dope shit and
drop ‘Highest in the Room,’ and maybe put something around it,” Scott said.
“I’m in no rush frankly but I’m taking my time to come up with the next album.
But I’m always down to drop music and serve some packs to the fans. It’s time
for the fans to eat… I’m gearing up for something special. All I can say is
Jack Boys is on the way.”
Jack Boys will be released along with some unusual accompanying merchandise deemed as Black Jack Collection featuring hoodies, T-shirts, a water bottle, an electric scooter, a duffle bag, a rug, a blanket, a rolling tray, a reality robe and more items available for purchase. Each item purchased on the website comes with a digital download of the album when the album is released. The merch is available for purchase now at Scott’s website.
