Adele last released an album in 2015! It’s been five years since her five-time Grammy-winning album 25, and now it looks she is finally ready to hit the studio once again to record her fourth studio album. It’s time for 31!
Adele is thought to be on the brink of a comeback after a video hidden from the public was uploaded to her official YouTube channel. There are 12 videos available for her fans to watch and now there is one in private, invisible to the public.
The singer's management have said that new songs are ready to be released.
Jonathan Dickins told Music Week that singer will finally release the follow up to her 2015 album ’25’ and said “the sooner [it comes out] the better.”
Ever since Adele split from her husband in April last year, rumours have been swirling on fan sites that the breakdown of this relationship would fuel her new music. She even teased her fans that she had been working hard in the studio, soon after celebrating her birthday last May.
At the time she said: “This is 31…thank fucking god – 30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all.”
She added: “For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once,” before hinting that a new album – ’30’ – could be on the way soon as she joked: “’30’ will be a drum n bass record to spite you. Chin up, eh”.
While Adele hasn’t confirmed any new music releases, ahead of the interview with the Dickins, the singer dropped hints about her record in a coy Instagram post. “Bunch of f*cking savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you,” the singer joked.
