Dubbed a "nostalgic track", "Good Days" sees SZA singing about "former love, soul searching, and rejoicing carefreely."
The star surprised fans when she dropped her positive-minded, soulful new single on Christmas Day. The track follows the September release of "Hit Different," her collaboration with TY Dolla $ign (and first new music as lead artist since 2017’s Ctrl).
"All the while, I'll await my armored fate with a smile / I still wanna try, still believe in /Good days, good days, always / Always inside / Good day living in my mind," she sings in the, which features backup vocals from Grammy-nominated artist Jacob Collier.
SZA also dropped an acoustic home performance of "Hit Different" and "Good Days."
The two new cuts are expected to appear on SZA’s forthcoming Ctrl follow up album, however news of a release date and other specifics are yet to be shared. Back in 2019, she said it was coming "sson as fuck," revealing that she's hit the studio with the likes of Jack Antonoff, Brockhampton, Justin Timberlake, and Post Malone.
For now, fans can enjoy the majesty of her vocals with these acoustic
performances.
