“Best Friend” follows Saweetie’s previously released single “Back To The Streets” featuring Jhené Aiko. The new single also serves as a prelude to her upcoming Pretty Bitch Music album.
Walking together with confidence, Saweetie and Doja Cat call out misogyny and celebrate camaraderie as they pump each other up on the bouncy new collab.
The BFFs begin trading verses over a thumping beat, hyping up each other's success, beauty, loyalty and independence. "That's my best friend, she a real bad b---h / Drive her own car, she don't need no Lyft / In the strip club, know my girl gon' tip / Now she twerkin', she throw it out and come back in," the duo boast in the catchy hook.

From the looks of it, Saweetie is close to releasing her upcoming album, as she has increased her activity over the past few months. Saweetie said Pretty Bitch Music title was born from the emotions she was experiencing as she made the LP.
I remember I was like, ‘How do I put a title over all of these feelings that I’m feeling throughout my album?'” she told Rolling Stone “And I was like, ‘Well, I make people feel like bad bitches, like pretty girls, so why don’t I call it Pretty Bitch Music?’ I was like, ‘That’s just kind of out there, you know? Putting ‘bitch’ on something?’ But I was like, ‘If I make it stand for something, it’ll make sense.’ So that’s why I say ‘bitch’ stands for boss, independent, tough, CEO — I want my fans to know that it’s empowering.”
